EFUlaunchedthe”Don’tbeAfraid” CampaigninMay 2015 withtheaimofcombatingallformsofViolenceAgainstwomen; asocietalissuethataffectsthecommunityasawholeandimpedestheachievementofequalityandsocialjusticeguaranteedbytheConstitution.
TheCampaignaimedatrectifyingerroneousculturalconceptionsthatviolatewomen’shumanrightsimpairtheirdignityandhindertheiradvancementandparticipationinpubliclifeasproductiveindividuals. 
Emanatingfromthefactthatdramacanbeinstrumentalinshapingpeople’sattitudesEFUorganized, amongitsactivities, the “Don’tbeAfraid “TheaterFestival”.
Sinceitsinauguration, theCampaigninitiatedseveralactivitiestoshedlight, raiseawarenessandeducatethepubliconthisthornysocialissue. EFUdecidedonorganizingamateurstageperformancesinallgovernoratesofEgyptasitreflectculturaldiversityaswellasdifferenceinsocialandeconomicenvironments.
TheFestivalaimedatdiscussingthespecificsocietalandculturalproblems, whichimpedetheachievementofcomprehensivedevelopmentineachregion, whichcannotbeaccomplished, withoutprotectingwomenandadvancingtheirstatus. TheCampaigncollaboratedinthisrespectwiththeMinistriesofYouth, CultureandEducation.
PerceivingthisconceptDr. Badranstated, duringtheConferenceentitled “ArtisforAll”, thatthestrengthofthetheaterisderivedfromitspotentialtocommunicatedirectlywiththepublicanditsimpactonbreakingbarriersoffear.
Nineteengroups, representingYouthCentresinthegovernoratesofGreaterCairo (Cairo - Giza - Qalubya) enteredthefirstcompetitionorganizedbytheCampaignincollaborationwiththeMinistriesofYouthandCulture
Theturnoutofyoungpeople, menandwomen, whoparticipatedintheFirstFestival, washugereflectingtheirawarenessoftheimportanceofcombatingviolenceasapreludetocorrectingunfoundedperceptionsandbringaboutaculturalchangethatcanachievetheobjectivesofthegloriousRevolutionofJune 30.
TheCampaignstartedbytheproductionoftwoplaysonthesubjectofviolence, harassmentanddiscriminationagainstwomen.
TheCampaigntargeted, aswell, combatingviolenceagainstchildren, especiallybatteredyounggirlswhoprefer, inmanycases, duetosocietalerroneousconceptions, tokeepquietabouttheviolenceandharassmenttheywereexposedto, outoffearofthecommunitywhichinmanyincidentsdoesnotblametheperpetrator, butblamesthevictim. 
NineYouthCentres¬¬competedintheFirstFestivalcoveringgreaterCairo:


October – Elhawamdya – Eltaawon (Giza) - ELmounira – Embaba – Elbdrasheen – ElMarg – EzbetElnakhl.
TheSecondFestivalaimedatdisseminatingopen-mindedandtruthfulconceptstoaddressregressiveideasthroughopeningthedoorforcompetitionamongamateurgroupsforproducingone-actstageperformances, ofnotmorethan 45 minutestodiscussissuesrelatedtotheyouthandviolenceagainstwomen.
